Skipping the soft armor all together? US Palm sells a carrier with 3A front and back panels for less than $300. They can still accommodate front and rear hard plates along with the soft armor.
Check it out.....

Well I thought about it but my main reason for choosing hard was the saying "Train as you fight." I'm wanting to take some classes as Tactical Response down in Tennessee, they seem the closest and the extra weight should provide a damn good challenge.

What type of plates and how much, how heavy?
I bought lightweight plates so because of that they're .8 inches thick. Ill eventually pick up some more plates, but the ones I really want cost $400 each.

UD check out Tacticalshit dot com. They sell various kinds of plates.

They're AR500 plates. The back plate cost $65 and the front plate cost $85 since I got that one curved. Not sure about the weight of them, though. I don't have a scale to weigh them.

I still haven't updated to the new permit system here yet. Congrats on the new heater.

Appreciate it. I've wanted one since I was 7. Two decades later I finally pull the trigger on it

Nice gun.
I gave one to the youngest son as his first pistol.
He really likes it.
It's a bit large for his current girlfriend.
If he marries her I think I will give her a pistol as a wedding present.
Nice red neck present right?

I made the mistake of picking up a g34 over the 92 a year ago. I'm sure if I threw a new trigger and sights at it, I wouldn't feel that way, buuuuuut yeah.
