US Military Robotic Mules & Dogs ?

Postby LoneWolf » Mon Jul 14, 2014 3:49 pm

Anyone else see the latest military trials in the news of these equipment haulers ?

Now they could carry your gear, leaving your hands free to use weapons against the zeds.
Once more into the fray,
Into the last good fight I'll ever know,
Live and die on this day,
Live and die on this day.

Excellent point SoB, one of those would make a great decoy. Once they knock it down or it runs out of fuel you can go back and get it later too!

Could even arm it with a Remoat wepaon sytem. Might need a sound sytem. It could be used to lure the zombies away from a certain point. Of course these things are still years away from being oprastional.

Maybe even cheap drones like they are starting to sell now. Can't be too hard to add cheap speakers that will do the job.

For zombies? I would go for twin 7.62mm mini guns and stick some clamors on the sides so you can deal with hords that get to close.

Uhm, that might be a bit difficult Bob...

These weigh something like 3,000 pounds as is loaded up. They first had them on trailers and half tracks like the M16 version shown here:

FYI: Those tombstone magazines hold 200 rounds each- HEFTY! ;)

A little more reasonable idea, but possibly still heavy due to ammo needs most likely. The claymore mines are a DEFINITE enhancement worth their weight in shredding capability. Good ideas SoB! :good post:

Here is one of the US Army toys they've been fiddling around with:

This one looks even nastier- it appears to have a larger ammo capacity and better feed system, plus 4 of those single shot 40mm grenade launchers like on the M203 rifle!
