Thanks MrKnot, LW, Cav (Ramp) & Fly. It's good to find everyone again.

Lone Wolf hows your Alamo story coming along? Hope reality will swing in your favor, sorry if things are complicated for you right now.
Most of my comments should be read with your best "BROCK SAMSON" voice. While others should be read with your best "CLINT EASTWOOD" voice. A few, and I mean a very few should be read with your best "JOE PESCI" voice.

Thanks Survivor.

The Last Alamo is taking shape, more through ideas/books/photos at present.

Found a photo in an old Scotland landscapes book which has an excellent image of a valley and lake which fits the story and where the Alamo replica itself would be located, not in real life, but in the film.

Recent book purchases are assisting my thought process for vehicles, weapon mounts, survival techniques, etc.

I've been reading on the net lately, British actors are seeking better scripts by British writers, covering very different subjects than the norm, to compete with other countries.

Can't get more different than this ! :D
Once more into the fray,
Into the last good fight I'll ever know,
Live and die on this day,
Live and die on this day.

my book pitch to an Amazon writing contest got eliminated the other day.

But I'm still working on it. Hope I don't get arrested for trying to gather municipal emergency information.

Bummer on the award. ABNA, I'm guessing. If so, that's an insanely tough award. Kudos to making it as far as you did. Share snippits on the forum if you can!

Yeah, ABNA. I wish... lol, it got tossed on the first round. They didn't even get to read my excerpt. I was hoping to make into that round, so I could get some feedback. I was reading some of the pitches that did win from horror/sci-fi/fantasy and most of them did not interest me. I was amazed that they kept some of the entries that had grammar/spelling errors. I mean you didn't even proof/edit the pitch??? :WTF:

I guess they feel the genre is flooded with zombie stories... Or, maybe I am just jealous.
