Started our kitchen remodel Monday and they're already behind! This is going to be a clusterfuck!

My first career was a HVAC tech for 27 years.
I was pretty handy with a torch and phosbraze but I sucked with soft solder.

Ha!
I did not know there was a division among plumbers.
In HVAC the service tech who worked on Commercial equipment were at the top of the food chain.
I could not work on adsorption or centrifugal chillers so I was not at the pinnacle.

I need a plumber! I have to replace my shower unit because of cracks in the walls and floor, and my sink's sprayer leaks like mad.

As far as your shower stall, that sounds like a encloser replacement, or you can have it repaired and re-glazed. Your sprayer. If its a kitchen sink, undo it, clean the threads then tighten it back on. the threads usually get calcium build up over the years. check the little rubber washer to.

We've talked to numerous people regarding the shower and it needs to be replaced. Sadly, repaired and re-glazed is not an option. It's a semi-round unit and the spare parts cost more than the whole thing. And, of course, it is no longer available in the store, so the price has gone up considerably.

The kitchen sink sprayer is an easy fix, just requires getting down into the cabinet and unscrewing the darn thing. We have tried all the cleaning and replacing washers. The main problem is age--neither of us want to get onto our hands and knees to inspect the connection below--old bones and all. We are also having a problem seeing the brand, which makes a big difference as to which part we need to get for replacement. Getting old sucks!

Normally, most repairs would be completed by us--we are just getting too old and lazy!

BTW: Thanks for the advice!
