If you could have only one...

Assuming price was the same, all were of absolute top-of-the-line quality, and you could have only one, would you rather start the Z-poc with just one knife, would it be...

A three-inch folder?

A seven inch fixed blade?

Or an eleven-inch chopper?

Got bored and started wondering for myself. Wondering what you fine folks think about it.

Bad idea. These big two handers are great for battle but in ever other regaurd they fail. They difficult to carry and a miss swing means you dead. I would go for a good medium sized axe slash war hamar combo. Got use out sized of combat and easier to carry.

This bad-boy right here:

The Becker BK9.
9 inches of high carbon steel badassery!
Big enough for the large knife tasks, but still pretty capable at smaller knife stuff...
You can do "most" small-knife tasks with a large blade, but not so much the other way around.

I like large knives.
For a folder to be useful for more than peeling an apple or performing minor surgery it needs to have a 4" blade.
That is the sweet spot on a folder.

On a fixed blade it should be no smaller than a normal KA-Bar which if memory serves is 7".

I tend to be fine with a small blade for every day use.
