"Door is closed sir and with all due respect, wouldn't it save time if you grab your own gear?" Crow replied as he reached for his M4, a silencer for his 9mm, filled 6 mags for the m4, filled 6 mags for the 9mm and filled his backpack with bandoliers for the M4. 2 speed loaders go into a side pocket on the backpack. Lastly he grabbed a second K-bar, a handful of chemlights, and 6 smoke grenades. When he'd finished arming himself he went to stand next to the door, ready to open the top half. "Everyone ready for this?" He asked.

"Fine" Jeff quickly runs back and grabs a silencer for both of his guns, and then returns to the door. "Change of plans. Crow, you will grab some supplies from the clinic, including beds, and report back. I'll take inventory of what we have. We'll have to live the rest of our lives on it..."

Shelby took stock of his surroundings. The armory was well supplied. There were 2 other survivors in there. One looked to be brass from security, as he saw stars on the uniform, and he ordered Crow to grab a suppressor. The other was Ms. Beaumont, the daughter of the facility chief. We will have to be extra careful on noise and light discipline the more people we gather, Shelby thought to himself. The natives outside were restless, and he didn't want to jump into their party.

He scanned the racks, and picked up 100 more rounds for the 1911. Then, he grabbed an AR variant with a threaded barrel. ".300 AAC Blackout" the upper was stamped. Perfect, Shelby thought to himself. He grabbed it, then moved over to the ammo vault. Subsonic and supersonic rounds were clearly labeled. He grabbed 5 mags of subsonic ammo, and 3 mags of supersonic ammo. He seated 1 mag in his new .300BLK, then he found a suppressor for it and screwed it onto the barrel. He tested the surefire light, and the EOtech mounted on top. Both seemed serviceable. Next, he picked up a hooligan bar and a loop for it.

Between the gear he had before, and the gear he had now, he could feel the weight. It was nothing unfamiliar, he had carried this much and more before in the Middle East, but he knew carrying all of this would slow him down if he needed to hustle. This bag would now be his operations center. He needed something lighter for an assault pack. He found a small backpack in the armory and transferred some of his gear into it. 1 bottle of water, and 3 protein bars, a flashlight, 2 pistol mags, and 2 AR mags, 1 sub, and 1 supersonic. He strapped it on.

Crow was already by the door, waiting. Shelby asked, "Is there another way out that doesn't take us to the main hall? Also, do you guys know what medical supplies to get?"

The introductions were made and everyone had chosen their weapons and supplies from the armory closet. Cass could feel some tension building between the men as they gathered near the door. She remained further back, not having any intentions of getting in anyone's way. Shelby asked about the exit and before anyone could answer she replied in the negative.

"That is the only way out...unless you want to go up." She pointed to a large grill set in the ceiling. It led to a heating duct, currently not functioning, and could get them to many different locations throughout the facility. It would be a tight fit and unless absolutely necessary, she didn't plan on climbing around inside there. She also wasn't sure how she felt about making the armory into home base, but arguing wasn't a concern right now. Raising too many objections would only lead to questions, many of which she wasn't ready to answer.

"If you are intent on heading out into the hallway, I suggest we also check the offices. A few of them may have some needed supplies--food, drink, maybe even some warmer clothing. There are also the vending machines at the other end. Otherwise, everything is upstairs. The dining hall. Lockers." She paused after the last word. "I could really use some of the stuff from my locker." She looked at the two men who had just arrived. "How is it up there?"

"The lobby is swarmed but I don't know how badly. If we only open the top half of this door we may be able to thin the herd a bit." Crow said. "Set phasers to kill," Crow said in his best Captain Kirk impression before flinging the armory half door wide and firing at all the heads packed into the hall.

Jeff immediately gets an idea. He runs and grabs a couple Frags, yells at the others to get down, and pulls the pin off of one, throws it, and quickly shuts the door. He then opens the door back to how it was, and takes down a couple of them with his gun.

"Well fuck, that escalated quickly." Shelby thinks to himself as he feels the recoil impulse of the .300 BLK against his shoulder. If there's a good place to thin out the herd, it's from the armory, he muses. Between the M67s and the firearms, the crowd of restless natives is getting torn to shreds. He is surprised at the accuracy of the fire. Not a single person is spraying and praying. All of the shots being taken are carefully placed, and the majority are effective at incapacitating. He is lucky to have hooked up with this group. The herd immediately before them is thinning, but there are still more stinkers heading toward the action. 2 dozen or so have already been taken out. "Does anyone know how many people are in this facility?" Shelby yells to the group between gunshots.

Cassandra had held back while the others crowded around the door, cutting back the numbers of infected moving their way. She felt a sense of disappointment when she discovered the upstairs lobby may not be navigable. She would just have to make do with anything she could find on this level. She waited for an opening to be created as the men killed off the undead. It would be her best chance to find supplies. She was finally moving toward the entrance when Shelby asked about the number of people in the building.

"There are about two hundred people inside the building. The majority are on the ground level, with the fewest here." She leaned in so she could see into the hallway. Already the area was being cleared, most of the threat eliminated or injured. Blood splattered the walls and floor, mixing in with other substances she preferred not to recognize. She was not a stranger to gore, but she preferred hers contained on an exam table with the specimen strapped to the surface.

"I'm going to need some things. I think I can get around this floor pretty safely. I'm not sure what those...infected...are capable of, but we better watch the stairwell doors just in case."

"That shouldn't be a problem. Once we've got these things down we all head out," Crow assured the doc with a wide grin on his face. Just then he noticed teeth next to his right eye. Pivoting, Crow slid his hand over it's nose and gripped it behind the nasal passages. With his hand safely seated on it's upper lip he gave a couple of quick jerks. A sickening crack was heard and its face could be seen leaning away from it's head as it slowly slid out of view. Confident it wasn't getting back up, he began firing at the remaining infected.

Jeff holsters his gun and walks towards the vent. He tries pulling it off, though he doesn't expect it to work. He then looks for something to use as a makeshift screwdriver, and when he can't, he pulls his gun out and shoots out the screws. "Does anyone know where this will take us?"
