M9 replacement.

I hope they actually get this done once and for all.

I've used the M9 for years on various deployments and it has been nothin but a pain in the ass. Some of it comes from the sheer number of years some of the M9's have been in service but I still have my issues. Eventually I was able to switch to a 1911 but I've used a Sig 228 On a few occasions and if 320 is like that, I'm sold.

I never had any issues with my m9. Course I also never had issues with my SAW either. Hell I like the m9, but if I could get my hands on the M45 I'd be happy too. The Corps ain't switching pistols any time soon, but I know the Army has been trying to find a new pistol for a while.

We're Marines. Of course we're not getting any new toys. If anything, we're getting the army's hand-me-downs.

Hell, I'm just happy that the rest of my squad is finally getting M4s instead of the M16s that we've probably been using since Vietnam.

funny story there, when I went to Afghanistan, we had guys with M16 A2s, and one of our .50 receivers has been around since Korea

Most people expect our front line troops to have top of the line new firearms.

Considering that the USMC is usually first to fight, it is a rarity for them to get brand new equipment, vehicles or aircraft. Although they can get the most out of anything they are issued it is a pretty shitty way to treat them. Some day this country is going to sorely regret that fact...

They have to give us older gear otherwise the world would witness a level of combat few armies could handle. :BFG: :BFG: :BFG: Anyway the army needs all the help they can get. We can't be expected to do all the work. Getting them better gear gets them closer to our level. :Huge:
